Where is the concert located?
The concert will be held in the baseball diamond at Peterson Park in Mattoon, IL
When is the concert?
Saturday, August 12th. Gates will open at 3:30pm and the concert will begin at 5pm.
Where do I enter Mattoon Peterson Park?
There will be two entrances to the park. One gate will be at the north of the park and one gate will be at the southeast corner of the park.
Is there handicap parking?
Yes, please use the southeast entrance into the park labeled "Handicap Parking".
Is there bus parking?
Yes, there will be an area flagged off behind home plate.
When do the gates open?
The gates will open at 3:30 pm.
How long is it expected to last?
The concert will begin at 5pm and is expected to be over around 9:30pm.
Will there be merchandise for sale?
Yes, artists will have their merchandise for sale and we will also have general concert t-shirts available.
Where do I buy tickets?
You can purchase tickets by clicking here going to the ticket office.
Are there children’s tickets available?
Children 4 and younger will get in free but do still require a ticket. Children 5 and older will need a general admission ticket to enter the event.
Will tickets be available to purchase at the gate?
We were hoping to be able to sell tickets at the door but last year we did sell out in advance of the concert and tickets were not available to purchase on the day of the concert. To guarantee tickets - order in advance!
When will we receive our wristbands?
Wristbands will be mailed out in July. The wristbands are mailed from Minnesota. Watch for an envelope with the return address label of Northwestern Tickets. Tickets purchased after noon on Thursday, August 4 will not be mailed. Your wristbands will be available to pick up at the concert from either of the Ticket tables located near the gate entrances. Please have your ID when picking up your wristbands.

Is ADA seating available?
ADA accommodation requests can be made while purchasing your tickets or by emailing [email protected]. Please refer to the parking map for the handicapped parking location.
How long do I have to allocate my donations?
The site will be accepting receipt uploads until August 31st. Visit ruralking.com/hope to upload your receipts.
What are "Pay it Forward" tickets?
Generous attendees are purchasing tickets to donate to guests who cannot afford to attend the event. Please contact the University of Northwest Media’s office at 651-631-5151 if you need to request a Pay it Forward ticket.
How do I request a free ticket from the "Pay it Forward" ticket bank?
Free tickets can be requested until Thursday, August 9th at midnight. Maximum of 6 general admission tickets can be requested per household. Tickets are first come, first serve.
Where do I park?
Parking is available on the streets that surround the park. Please be considerate when parking and pay attention to designated no-parking locations. Please do not block roads, driveways, or vehicle pedestrian paths.
Can I bring my own food or will concessions be available?
You may bring in a cooler with your own food and beverages but no cooking of foods will be permitted. Concessions will be available onsite to purchase. Alcohol is not permitted.
Are there any additional items or activities not permitted?
Yes. No alcohol, drugs, smoking, vaping, etc. No fireworks, laser pointers, drones, kerosene lamps or open flames, yard games, sports gear, and recording gear will be permitted. No tents, tarps or other structures will be allowed to be setup. No pets or animals will be allowed. This includes emotional support animals.
Will seating be available?
Seating is not provided. We encourage you to bring a small, collapsible chair to sit on or a blanket. Large lounging chair systems will not be allowed.
What happens if it rains?
The concert is rain or shine. Small, flat topped umbrellas are allowed. Pointed and/or larger than 36" opened umbrellas are not permitted.
Can we come and go from the event?
Yes, you will be able to come and go from the event as long as your wristband remains intact and is on when you enter.
Will restrooms be available?
Portable restrooms and handwashing stations will be available onsite.
What will my ticket look like?
There will be a separate wristband color for General Admission (coral) and one for Children (age 4 and younger) (gold).
